On September 15, 2023, at 7:54 PM GMT+0, Willow Cizdeizd I, the Head of State (HOS) of the State of Hokoria, made the significant decision to step down from her role. While her departure had been announced approximately a week ago, the news still came as a somber and somewhat unexpected development. In the wake of her abdication, Willow Cizdeizd I released the following statement:
 

      Dear Hokorians,
 

      It’s been a pleasure to serve for you as the Head of State, however it is now my time to depart. Your new Head of State is Aaron       Ross, a more than capable individual that is trusted by myself, but most importantly, the Council of the State.
 

      Unfortunately, my departure will be less gradual than I expected it to be. Effective immediately, I will have transferred all Hokorian       resources to the Head of State and am leaving Discord permanently. This is completely my choice, and whilst it may not be best       for the community, I never anticipated how demanding my new education setting would be.
 

      To make it clear, Hokoria is no longer in my hands and I am no longer your Head of State. My original vision of

      creating a Hokoria that we can all be proud of is now in someone else’s hands.

      I urge you to work with Head of State Aaron Ross to ensure that Hokoria continues to live on. It is in your hands as the people to       continue Hokoria. Will you step up?

         As of this moment, the position of Head of State for the State of Hokoria has been assumed by Aaron Ross I, who was appointed by the Council of the State. Aaron Ross I also holds the titles of Tsar of Kaltarsia and Emperor of the Sprinske Empire, both of which are strong allies of Dostykstan. With Aaron Ross I taking the reins as HOS, another ally of Dostykstan now falls under the governance of a Micronationalist who has demonstrated responsibility and competence in carrying forward the proud legacy of Hokoria.
